Senescence Festival Promotional Branding for Wanderlust Octo, is the official visual announcement of the first annual New Years Eve Festival. The clients at Wanderlust Octo needed branding and advertising material within a 24 hour turn around time. To quicken the process, the client explained the meaning behind the word ‘Senescence’ as it ties into their general branding. It’s an abstract word describing the normal stage of an Octopus’s life cycle that often occurs before death.

Senescence Festival Logo Development

The name was chosen to signify the end of a year and the beginning of a new year, as it pertains to the festival’s name and the company’s general brand Wanderlust Octo. Briefly, I was instructed to develop a dynamic advertising design that showcased an octopus with a blend of futurism and dance elements. Include that the festival Picks up and drops off attendees by private car to undisclosed location barn. There will be a poster design at the rendezvous point..

Considering The Audience(s)

In every brand strategy, color choice is crucial and it is important to consider the psychological effects of color carefully when launching a new brand to market. So, for this project, the colors would include metals, futuristic neutrals with pops of color to appeal to a sophisticated adult 18+. Usually, young adults are the key audience for music festivals when Music Djs are headlining the event.

Promotional Design (2020)

Brand experience is conceptualized as sensations, feelings, cognitions and behavioral responses evoked by brand-related stimuli that are part of a brand’s design and identity, packaging, communications, and environments. Also, in all branding and logo projects I design with the consumer experience in mind. I distinguish several experience dimensions and construct a brand experience scale that includes four dimensions:

    • sensory
    • affective
    • intellectual
    • and behavioral

Poor Brand can affect the rest of the design process including promotional / advertising pieces.  Finally, the poster design of the project was designed with the intention of garnering as many excited attendees as possible as the brand experience affects consumer satisfaction and loyalty directly and indirectly through brand personality associations.
